It is with sadness that we announced the closing of Scrapbook Groupies as of June 12, 2011.  Here is the letter from the owner:

We have been in business for 12 creative years and watched the scrapbooking business grow in amazing  and artistic directions. The last four years, while I have owned SBG, I have met many wonderful people who have shared their stories as only scrapbookers can.  I have had the pleasure of working with some of the most loyal, creative employees I could have hoped for.  We know you will understand that this decision comes after a great deal of thought and hard choices.  We have changed the store, the product, the classes and crops several times over.  Now it’s time for a new chapter.

Beginning Tuesday, May 17^th and through June 30^th June 12th, all regularly priced scrapbooking product in our store is 40% off, including premade items.  We will honor all unexpired gift certificates through June 30^th June 12th, 2011.  All store fixtures are also for sale, including the wheeled gondolas.  40% discount does not apply to store fixtures and furniture, or items already on sale.  Classes or crops scheduled in June have been canceled. 

A sincere thank you goes out to all of you who shopped at our store frequently, supporting us as an independently owned store.  We have definitely appreciated when you have chosen us over a “big business” corporate store or shopping online.  Shoppers like you have helped us, and other independently owned stores like us, stay in business for as long as we have.  We hope you continue to choose to shop your local brick-and-mortar stores, so that they can continue to strive for the “American Dream”.
